"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace." - Milan Kundera
I've always thought that dogs are our link to the pure and perfect. However, my previous companion, miss Indiana Jones, NEVER enjoyed doing nothing, unless it came after much activity!!! She was always one to throw toys at me, pull me to the door, poke me with her nose, or just randomly jump on me from out of no where. That dog preferred to be in constant motion and on an adventure every hour of the day.

I could have told you that! Duh
