I think its sad bc we as pit bull owners and responsible dog owners need to be accountable and always have the dogs on the leash no matter how well trained. I wonder why she was off leash, slipping off or leaping out a fence or something. No matter what, we must know that we must protect our dogs not to put them in harms way and always alawys take extra precaution... I am always overly cautious with my dogs because anything can happen and accidents happen like this one... Its horrible that Jasmine lived through micchael vick only to die... :( :(
Although clearly this is very sad, we must be careful not to judge. I don't care how careful we are with our dogs (no matter what the breed or their history) accidents happen, they are heartbreaking and easy to see blame but they are ACCIDENTS. No matter how briefly, Jasmine knew what it was like to be loved, she had a family who cared what happened to her. I for one will keep her family and all those who came to love her in my prayers.

ReplyDeleteThat is sad news. Thank god she didn't die at the hands of Michael Vick! She was living her new happy life - that's how I'd want to go.

ReplyDeleteGod bless her and her family. I am just so grateful she was surrounded by love when this happened.
ReplyDeletePoor baby girl. I cried when I saw her on the cover of SI and once again I'm crying. At least she had a loving place to spend the end of her life.
ReplyDeleteOh no poor thing. Is this the second "Vick" dog to be tragically killed?
ReplyDeleteWhat happened??
