I just wanted to take a minute to thank the ACO's, Behavior Staff and Volunteers at the Hayward Shelter for welcoming us into their facility last weekend to do some talking about Pit Bulls.
When I discussed what we've learned from the dogs we have worked with from the various busts I could see people in the audience begin to tear up. It shocked me and I almost lost if myself. I was so happy to take the work that we've been doing and share it with other folks who are caring for our beloved dogs. These are the things that will help people see pit bulls more as individuals and not pre-judge them on breed alone. There are so many shelters, so many people out there trying to do the right thing and we feel honored to have this opportunity to help in any way we can.
The picture above is one of their available dogs - Our Raven and Max came to us via Hayward as well; and here's a link to some of the other dogs they have available.
